Assignment 3: Training plan
Objective: Develop a plan for your training intervention
Determine training objectives
Based on your training needs analysis, develop no more than three training objectives. These objectives should be clear, specific, and measurable, as you will use them to guide your training and evaluation plans.
Develop a training session:
Develop a training session that meets the objectives you identified. When developing your session, consider the learning environment, instructional design/training methods, and learning/training transfer. In addition, create or develop mock-ups of any materials (e.g., handouts, slide decks, videos, leader guide, participant guide) that would be used during the training. If appropriate, provide a high-level overview of any pre-training
interventions would be necessary to ensure the success of your training.
Write a report:
Write a client-ready report that includes your training objectives and an in-depth discussion of your training plan. This discussion should include information about the learning environment, the trainer(s), and the instruction methods. In addition, explain how your plan, when implemented, could result in learning and
transfer. Finally, identify opportunities for employees to practice and reinforce the KSAOs they would develop
during training.
Include as an appendix to the report the materials that would be used during the training (e.g., a slide deck, handouts). Your report should not be written as an APA paper; however, you should still use conventions of professional writing. If possible, obtain feedback from subject matter experts (e.g., the instructor) and
organizational stakeholders (i.e., to assess feasibility) before submitting the final draft of your report.
