The goal of this module is to explore the nurse’s role in assuring safe workplace functioning. Nurses are responsible for assuring a safe workplace, which may include reporting peer actions to the employer and/or state board of nursing. It is essential to be aware of the regulatory compliance requirements of your workplace and state board of nursing in these matters. There can be a reluctance to report suspected ethical violations to others, your discussion this week will explore why this reluctance exists.
