Research and write an essay (or report) in which you discuss the issue of the social construction of disasters in historical perspective
We recommend that you consider a case study or case studies of historical disasters, and use these case studies as a basis for discussing the idea of the social construction of disasters. It is important to consult with your TA on this, so chose an approach, case study(ies), reserach question in consultation with your TA. The essay must be accompanied by a bibliography listing the sources used, and there should be appropriate citation and acknowledgement of reference sources in the body of the essay.
