Domestic and international terrorist threats are realities that American citizens must face both here at home and when traveling abroad. For this assignment students will identify one domestic (U.S.) terrorist organization and one international terrorist organization that pose a threat to the United States. Students will compose an essay that discusses the: (1) history and goals of both terrorist organizations; and (2) reason both terrorist groups have targeted the United States. Students will then conclude the essay by comparing and contrasting the domestic and international terrorist organizations by: (1) reviewing the types of attacks each terrorist group is known for using against their targets; and (2) examining the threat each poses to American citizens.
