MY Research Topic Autism Spectrum Disorder, Socialization Strategies, ASD, Home/School-Child Relationships, Generalization Across Categories & Development I chose “Script fading for children with autism (Wichnick-Gills et al., 2019): Generalization of social initiation skills from school to home” because there are several conditions related beneath the ASD diagnoses. I currently work with several kiddos that engage in (verbal, cognitive and or motor) perseverative behaviors. In turn these behaviors may lead to echolalia, scripting, stimming, flapping hands, self-stimulatory behaviors, rocking their body back and forth, standing or even jumping up and down it all falls underneath the umbrella of autism.
