The main goal of this paper is to accurately analyze the various issues within HSR implementation and rank what is the most critical issue. The research will also consist of the most effective solution that can be used to solve this major problem. Through research, it was discovered that are many different problems involved in the implementation of HSR technology. The two main areas of concern are the technical problems involved with HSR and financial issues involved with HSR development. Technical problems involved with high-speed railway such as damage to Sub-base material, corrugation on railway tracks, inefficient drainage, deformed tracking, and poor subgrade material. Whilst also economic problems including the fact that highspeed railway bring financial burden, have high maintenance cost, and require frequent maintenance due to the damage imposed by high speeds. The following are noted to be the primary objective of the project:• Identify the main issues that are involved with HSR technology in three key areas: Design, Construction, and Implementation• Rank these issues in terms of how they limit development.• Discuss how they influence implementation of railway technology. The secondary objective involves the following:• Recommendation on what will lead to more cost-effective ways of implementing high speed railway.• Ways of reducing the required maintenance on HSR technology.• Finding solutions that can reduce and mitigate the issues involved within these processes.• Find ways of improving capabilities and therefore possible ways to improve HSR technology.• Recommending ways on how these solutions can be financially viable and reduce the financial burden so that countries are better able to develop HSR technology.
