Black Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) groups’ perception of counselling referrals post COVID-19 and the role of mental health stigma, gender and social class.

The study is about Black Asians and minority ethnic groups(BAME) and their perception of counselling referrals post COVID-19 and the roles of mental health stigma, gender and social class.
The study found that there was a significant difference in the way that BAME groups perceived counselling referrals post COVID-19, with those from a lower social class and those who identified as male being more likely to perceive referrals in a negative light. There was also a significant difference in the way that BAME groups perceived the role of mental health stigma in counselling referrals, with those from a lower social class and those who identified as male being more likely to perceive stigma as a barrier to referrals.
