You know that the company Web filter blocks these sites, and there is zero tolerance for such a serious violation. When you warn the employee of the dangers, he tells you he is using a virtual private network (VPN) to circumvent the Web filter and the company firewall. You have just completed the security awareness training and were made aware of the Employee Internet Usage Policy, and, VPN or no VPN, you know that this a serious security violation. If you report the incident, the employee will most likely be terminated, and if you do not, the entire network could become infected with malware.
