One important social justice/historical event that is significant to you and or your heritage. Explain the historical significance of your topic and why it is important to you.
Here are some examples, you are not limited to these. I expect to see your face in your video and hear you explain your event verbally.
Examples: Civil Rights Movement, Anti War efforts, Brown vs Education, Loving v Virginia, Gun Violence movements,, Protests, Issues in health care, etc.
Remember, the more specific the better! Its never in your favor to be vague.
Add one song that is related to that event and create a music analysis aspect to your essay.
Explain the song choice in terms of relevance to your project, and the importance music has played in terms of your topic. Think of your normal thought papers, how does music collectivize these people? Do themes of the music help progress the movements at all?
