The Whole Human: Perceptual Accuracy
Since everyday perceptions are frequently as inaccurate or distorted as those of an emotional eyewitness, it is worth being more tolerant of the views of others and more cautious about our own objectivity. It also encourages us to engage in more frequent reality testing. Because perceptions are constructions or models of external events, we should all engage in more frequent reality testing.
