Write a summary of the research study on the environment that you chose (from the list above) to analyze. You should write this summary for an audience of readers who are uninformed on the topic of your article–assume that the reader is well-read, but just unfamiliar with your particular environmental research study. Use a scientific voice. In other words, don’t use the first person. Do write with detail about the research study. Use precise words. Here is a guide on Audience and Voice.
So, write with clarity on the various parts of the research study:
-In your introductory paragraph, include the title of the article and the author. Also, describe whether the research study is quantitative or qualitative. Finally, in your thesis, describe the study and the results briefly.
-In your first RTW body paragraph, write about the design and methodology of your research study. (Include a topic sentence, 2 CERs and a concluding sentence.)
-In your second RTW body paragraph, write about the results and conclusions of your research study. (Include a topic sentence, 2 CERs and a concluding sentence.)
-In your concluding paragraph, restate your thesis in new and interesting ways given your body paragraphs.
