This assignment will be an expository essay about a recurring theme in the New Testament letters. You will need to select a theme that appears in at least two of the New Testament letters (including the Pauline, deutero-Pauline, and general letters). Once you have chosen a theme from the New Testament letters, you will need to write an essay that compares and contrasts the ways in which that theme is presented in several different letters in the New Testament.
Choose one of the following themes:
a. faith, as found in Romans and James
b. suffering for your faith, as found in 1 Peter and 2 Thessalonians
c. the relationship between Gentile Christians and the Jewish Law, as found in Hebrews and Galatians
d. unity among Christians, as found in Ephesians, Philippians, and 1 Corinthians
e. living by the Spirit of God, as found in Romans and Galatians
f. godly wisdom, as found in James and 1 Corinthians
