These are the instructions:
“Prompt: How do you assess the European impact on the rest of the world in the early modern period (1500-1750)?
You should proceed from the political, economic, cultural, or social perspective. It is enough to focus on one (or two) of those perspectives. Take a position on whether the European impact was more positive or more negative and defend your position. If you want to argue that it was more positive, you have to try to convince those who would argue that it was more negative. Therefore, it is not enough to focus on the positive impact because those who disagree with you can easily show you the negative impact. The same logic applies if you want to argue that the European impact was more negative than positive.
Note that you should write an analytical paper, not a descriptive one. You should organize information logically around a thesis or focused point. ”
I need my sources to be from the textbook “Ways of the World”
by Robert W. Strayer. If this source is unavailable to you, I’ll just connect the essay with sources from the textbook, and therefore you won’t need to create a bibliography. Although, feel free to use sources to familiarize yourself with the subject.
