Write a critical review of the three articles on empowerment and civic participation in community development. Be sure to read the assignment instructions carefully and follow the directions.
When you evaluate the articles, make sure to synthesize the ideas presented on the topic. In other words, your essay should be organized by the main points you learned from all of them rather than discussing each of them separately. Again, follow the UWM guideline for writing critical reviews. Use the APA citation style for both in-text citations and references.
Your essay should be approximately 700-800 words. Please paste your essay in your post instead of uploading it as a file. The total point for the essay is 4, with 1 point for introduction, 2 points for body, 1 point for conclusion. However, organization, format, and grammar issues can cause a deduction of up to 1 point. Use the questions for peer-review below to check your essay before submission. The essay is due on Saturday, one day earlier than peer review. If your essay wont receive peer review due to your late submission, 1 point will be deducted from your grade.
Reply to one anothers essay that has not been reviewed and not your reviewers essay. Paste your peer review in your reply. Evaluate the essay by answering the following questions and suggesting specific improvements (100 words, 1 point):
Does the essay have an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion? How well is the essay organized?
Does the essay evaluate the articles? Does it focus more on evaluation than summarizing the major points of the articles?
Is the essay concise and clear? Is it within the word limit? Did you find grammar, punctuation, or word usage problems?
Does the student cite sources appropriately? Is the APA format used for both in-text citations and the reference list?
