Identify a possible problem (the lack of ability to do a proper umbilical cord care) that requires some continuing education among nursing personnel. They are to propose a curriculum to address this problem in the form of a short course. As part of this assignment, students are expected to utilize appropriate theoretical frameworks to refine concepts in curriculum design. To ensure that this assignment is fulfilled, students are expected to produce a curriculum including the following:
a) A background to the proposed curriculum;
b) Philosophical framework and theoretical foundations of the curriculum;
c) Curriculum outcomes;
d) Course map with no more than three modules showing the linkages between modules;
e) Individual course outlines detailing codes , target audience, duration in hours, brief description, rationale, course objectives, teaching/learning activities, evaluation strategies, course calendar and resource materials
