Journal Article/Opinion: In 1967, James Baldwin published in the New York Times magazine an article entitled Negroes are Anti-Semitic Because Theyre Anti-White. Reread the article and write a response article/opinion for the magazine. Address the main points and arguments of Baldwins text, explain discuss each of them in relation to 2-3 of the other class readings (you can just use one sentence from each of the readings to present your own argument) and present your own view: Do you agree or disagree with Baldwin, and why (you can agree with some points and disagree with other).
– Baldwin kind of argues that Jews decided for their own benefit to identify as white because they would gain privileges, he doesnt actually express an antisemitic view but basically accuses Jews of betraying black people.
