Looking Beyond COVID: Operations Readiness for the Next Pandemic Everyone knew this was coming. We just didn’t know when. The last pandemic before COVID‐19 was the 1918 Spanish Flu. Did we, as society, get lazy? Are we preparing for the next one? These are some of the questions that governments, industry and society in general are trying to answer. In this case, you will have several specific tasks that will need to be completed. Several will be quantitative in nature, while others will require a more qualitative response. Several documents have been combined into one convenient PDF. You are encouraged to supplement your efforts with additional references to support your decision making. You will have to complete three tasks. Each task is worth a maximum of 10 points. Each task will have sub-tasks. Task 1 will refer to the Kimley‐Horn Mobile Drive‐Thru Testing Conceptual Plan on page 5. Task 2 focuses on PPE issues. Task 3 takes a more strategic view of risk and long-term planning There are also two spreadsheets that will need to be used to complete your tasks.
