The assignment takes the form of a Policy Challenges Report which has been commissioned by your national government, and which you will submit to Head of the relevant department of your home state or country. Structure it as follows: • Briefly describe your home state or country, your government, yourpolicymaking sector and your policy aims in making the report. • Discuss your policymaking aims and the challenges it faces within your home state or country with respect to the RESPONSIVENESS OF GOVERNMENT POLICY TO PUBLIC OPINION and DECENTRALISATION. • Put forward innovative, yet practical and realistic, ways through which you might achieve your aim and mitigate the challenges you identify.Please ensure that you provide evidence of the assessment you make of your policymaking sector using information about your home country and its government.
