We will be discussing death and dying this week. After reading the chapter on death and dying and the required resources in this week’s materials, please come to the board and discuss ONE of the following;
1. Select one of the cases on death and dying from the required resources in this week’s materials, and discuss whether a person be allowed to die when they are in a persistent vegetative state and we do not know their wishes.
OR
2. New Jersey became the 8th jurisdiction to have a death with dignity statute in 2019, below is a short video and article that discusses the Physician Assisted Suicide (PAS) or Medical aid-in-dying law in New Jersey. Discuss your thoughts on the passing of this law? Should Physician Assisted Suicide (PAS) be allowed on a nationwide basis – why or why not?
