In the film “The Story of Stuff”, the director discussed the true cost of consumer goods. In order for consumers to have access to such a wide array of products, many times exploitation of labour and the environment often take place.
For your midterm case study, I want you to investigate the production of one of your favourite products. Conduct as much research as you can to find determine:
1. Where the raw materials come from and if they are sourced ethically
2. What kinds of conditions the people who make the product work in
3. How much are the people who make the product paid
4. What effects does the product or the production of the product have on the environment
Please choose a product that you have a strong connection to. For example, your favourite clothing or shoe brand, Apple products, your favourite kind of chocolate, your favourite fast food restaurant, favourite make up, gaming console, etc.
Papers should be 3-4 pages long.
