journal reading

Basically you read two articles and give your thoughts on the articles. I uploaded 8. once you have read and written about the article you just summarize and reference it. Course Requirements: This course is organized around two major activities: 1) Response Journal: For this course, students are assigned to read articles for each session and write about your reaction to the readings in a journal. These readings and discussions will familiarize all of us with a number of core urban issues and policy areas. Please separate each week with a heading that has the session number and the authors’ last name. The journal may focus on your view of the implications of the readings and may also include some reflection on how the topic applies to social work practice or your work. These journal entries will help in understanding the topics discussed each week. Students can also raise questions or discuss important points from each week’s readings. The journal will be handed in twice during the semester, as indicated on the syllabus, the first one on 10/11/22 and the second one on 11/15/22. All readings will be available electronically on HuskyCT. There will be no required textbook. To earn grades of A on the journals, at least 2 articles in each week’s readings must be commented upon. More is fine, but the minimum is 2 articles. Additionally, the quality of the commentary will also count in determining the grade. Typed assignments are required. No more than 2 pages per week is a sufficient journal entry for a total of approximately 8-10 pages. Please NO MORE THAN 10 PAGES each of the two times you hand it in. This counts for 60% of your grade
