As the final assignment for this course, you will prepare a Final Write a Research Paper on a technology currently or previously used in the criminal justice industry. This is 10% of your grade. During the course, you are expected to select a project title along with the Abstract summary and submit for approval. This is due February 28, 2022. You will submit in the dropbox named “Abstract”. We will progressively work towards the completion of this project throughout the course. The timelines will be indicated in the respective modules. The Final Research Paper must include the following elements: Title Page; Abstract; Body (including an Introduction, Body Paragraphs/Argument Section, and Conclusion); and Reference Page The Final Research Paper must focus on a technology used in the criminal justice industry that is highlighted in the thesis statement and supported with solid academic research and analysis. Each facet of the statement must be addressed and analyzed throughout the paper. State the problem/issue/fact you′re addressing, why it is important or interesting, present your research thoroughly and clearly, compare to any related work that may exist, summarize your research contributions, and draw whatever conclusions may be appropriate. The title page must use proper formatting as set by the APA style guide. The abstract must be between 150–250 words and provide a clear summary of the paper. A link to the APA formatting style is found in the “Resources Tab”. The body of the Final Research Paper must be comprised of 3 pages of content. The Title Page, Abstract, and Reference Page are not included in the page count. The introduction must include background information on the criminal justice topic, a well-written thesis statement, and a preview of points. The body must thoroughly support the assertions made in the thesis statement with the use of analysis and comprehensively developed subpoints and academic research. Each paragraph must address one issue and directly relate it to the thesis. The body must also be well-organized and use properly formatted headings. The conclusion must summarize the main headings of the paper. The Reference Page must include at least 3 scholarly sources published within the last five years. The sources must be cited both in the body of the paper as well as on the Reference Page. Biblical/.pdf references do not count toward the citation requirement. Before submitting your Final Research Paper, review the Research Project – Final Research Paper Grading Rubric to verify that all components of the assignment have been completed. Run it through ″Grammarly″ to check for errors. Save your work as a Microsoft Word document/.pdf and submit it to the dropbox named “project”. The Rubric is attached to this lesson. Submit this project by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on APRIL 20, 2022.
