Write a narrative explaining the exhibition concept, which includes the following:
What is the main concept for your exhibition (i.e. what is the subject, theme, etc.). Think about how your exhibition would be different from others in the field with similar ideas (i.e. exhibition history) and why your exhibition is important to curate right now.
What the location of the exhibition would be (outdoors, in a particular place, gallery, etc.). Explain how the location is important to your concept.
What artists/works would you include in this exhibition? Include some visual/critical analysis so that the reader understands this work in the context of the exhibition.
Thinking back to the readings we have covered, incorporate some of the concepts you have learned so far and cite at least two of the readings as support for your exhibition concept:
Who is your audience? And why is that important to the exhibition?
What would the installation look like (hanging, lighting, placement, seating, etc.)? And why is that important?
Would there be any interactive components, educational programming, tours, public programs, etc. What would they be and how would they serve the exhibitions concept?
