Write a spaced paper detailing the significance of the topic for Christianity in its time. Papers must be well researched, using scholarly books and journal articles. A cover page and bibliography must be included, with at least ten sources cited. Papers should follow proper MLA or Chicago style and be free of spelling, grammatical, and structural errors (in other words, proofread!). If your topic is too broad you may research and write on a portion of the topic. For example, if your topic is Billy Graham, you could focus your paper on ″The Dynamics of Billy Graham′s Crusades″ or ″Billy Graham′s Ecumenical Relationships with Liberal Protestants″ or ″The Impact of Graham′s Travel on His Family.″ Seek to research in quality sources, not merely sources that are tangentially related to your topic. Give an honest and fair analysis of your topic, reporting the good and the bad, the pros and the cons (if there are any). Begin with an introductory paragraph, and provide a clear and specific thesis statement at the end of the introduction. If it helps, divide your paper into sections chronologically or logically to help you move your paper toward a goal at the end of proving or fulfilling your thesis. Conclude the paper with a paragraph summarizing your thesis. At least ten (10) quality sources are recommended to write a quality paper, and more sources may help you write more objectively. Cite your sources whenever they provide the specific ideas or wording you incorporate in your paper. There is no need to cite sources for commonly known facts. Direct quotes should not dominate your paper, but should be used whenever another author says something that cannot be said any better in your own words. Be sure to include a bibliography of all the sources that you found helpful in the writing of your paper.
