Client is a student on my internship at P.S. 284 in brownsville brooklyn. He is a 1st grade student who was previously moved from foster home to foster home, now he has been in a stable placement, with to parents and a sister who care for him and love him for over a year. He came to this school in September 2021 entering 1st grade with a diagnosis of Adhd. However it is my field supervisors feelings the systoms of adhd are truly due to trauma of being moved from home to home ( abandoment issues.). Now that he has been in a stable home and getting counseling in school from us 1:1 for 30 minutes a week he is progressing and he is much more focused in class. Youmust make a genogram and ecomap. Moms names is simone, dad brian sister , shayla. Supports for eco map are the school counseling, church community, he plays basketball, the negatives was being moved from foster home to foster home in the past. His past medical history was that he was born to a drug abused mother and left to his grandmother who could no longer care for him. He was then at the age of 3 placed in the foster care system. He has no biological siblings.
